Many people are unfamiliar with grayish blue powdered celadon or buncheong sagi.
It’s true that this kind of celadon is less known than blue celadon or white porcelain.
However, when asked the question about representative Korean beauty many artists have said that the answer lies in grayish blue powdered celadon. Buncheong sagi is thought to represent not only Korean pottery but all of Korean art.
Blue celadon or white porcelain is found in China as well, but buncheong sagi is only found in Korea.
Perhaps that is why it is thought to represent a unique Korean beauty.
